The Inspiring Story of Elder Ted Wilson

On April 29, 2014, Seventh Day Adventist President of the General Conference, Elder Ted Wilson, safely arrived to Manila to continue his movement of evangelizing more people. His movement, “Mission to the Cities” aims to spread religious messages and convert new members. As part of his movement, he lead the event “Hope Manila:iCare” with evangelization of the Philippines as his goal.

The religious leader chose Manila to be the host city for several reasons. One reason is that, among all Southeast Asian countries, the Philippines is the only country that has Christianity as the predominant religion. Another reason is that Filipinos speak English well and tourists visit the country often. Also, Elder Ted Wilson chose Manila because the city has a lot of poor people. Through his event, he cares for the Filipino people so he aims to help them financially, emotionally and spiritually.

Other than “Hope Manila: iCare” the selfless President has lead several events that helped their religion. However, before he became President, he was first the General Vice President of their religion since July, 2000. He only became President when he was elected during the General Conference Session delegation held in June 2010. Before him, the President of the church was Jan Paulsen whose term started since 1999.

Elder Ted Wilson didn’t only excel as a religious leader. He is also an outstanding student during his younger years. In fact, he has a prestigious educational background. He has a doctorate degree in religious education which he finished at New York University. He also finished two masters degree. He finished as a master of divinity in Andrews University and as a master of science focusing on public health at Loma Linda University’s School of Public Health.

Elder Wilson’s excellence is well-displayed in the General Conference. He focuses on the scriptures because he believes it’s the right way. Also, he strives to strengthen the faith of his followers.

This charismatic religious President is someone we should look up too. His combination of vision and dedication allows him to become successful. Furthermore, he possesses a pure heart which is an ideal trait of a leader.

Elder Ted Wilson is Coming to Manila

On May 4, 2014 the Revelation of Hope Series will begin. This two-week event will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). The speaker of the event, Elder Ted Wilson, will dominate the stage to share his wisdom to everyone.

Elder Wilson is the incumbent Seventh-day Adventist President of the General Conference. His term started in July, 2010 where he got the majority of the votes. He is also the lovechild of former Seventh-day Adventist President Elder Neal C. Wilson and Elinor E. Wilson.

He spearheaded several evangelistic meetings in the Philippines ever since he started serving in the General Conference. One of his noteworthy visits in the Philippines was in May 2009. During that time, he organized Manila Wide Health Expo aiming to promote good health and to evangelize the people of Makati City. Several new members have joined their religion because his teachings appealed to the public.

Last year, the eloquent preacher landed in Manila as a part of his quest to evangelize the major cities in the world. He developed a love affair with Manila that’s why he chose it to host the Revelation of Hope Series.

Revelation of Hope Series is a can’t-miss event. You will definitely have a spirit-lifting experience. In fact, here are the things that we offer if you attend this event:
